Beat Negativity

I had a pretty philosophical thought that I shared on Facebook earlier today, and it seemed to really speak to a good amount of people so I figured it was worthy of a blog post 🙂 It was about negativity, and your thoughts, and how they are connected.

When bad things happen to you do you let them overcome you or do you use it as a catalyst to spark change in your life and take action?

Don’t even waste a Facebook STATUS UPDATE on negativity. YOU have the power to let it control you. The more you reinforce it through your thoughts and strengthening the negative thoughts over every social media platform you have (those are more powerful than you think), the more you allow negativity to reign over your life. It’s a vicious cycle.

I’m in no way shape or form having the “BEST DAY EVER” every day of my life, or have everything go my way all the time, but gosh darn it if something’s going wrong I’m going to figure out how to fix it and not let it overcome me. That’s something that I learned from my Dad, and it’s been one of the greatest gifts he’s given me! And even still, I don’t succeed at this 24/7 but I do try to remain positive as much as I can… and heck, even if it annoys people it helps ME deal with life.

I have to say, however, it doesn’t come automatically. You have to decide.

It takes a conscious effort to cut as much negativity out of your life as possible. And believe it me- the less you give in to it, the less it affects your life and the happier you’ll be. Your thoughts become you. So make them good ones!
